Villains and heroes actually have the exact same backstory. The villain story and the backstory of the hero are pain. So the difference between the villain and the hero is one thing: it's how they respond to pain.
The villain says: “the world hurt me; I'm gonna hurt it back”.
And the hero says: “the world hurt me; I'm not gonna let this happen to anyone else”.
It's just literally how you decide to react to pain that causes you to be the villain or the hero.
