The next day, when the landlord came to see the door, he was amazed by the carpenter's hard work. The door was stunning, perfectly nailed, and polished. The landlord admired the door but couldn't help but wonder why the carpenter had made it so much better. Did the carpenter want to ask for more money than the agreed-upon 2 dollars?

In an angry tone, the landlord shouted, "What have you done? I only asked for a simple door, why did you make it so fancy? Don't even think about asking for extra money now!"

After hearing the landlord, the carpenter replied, "No need to worry, Mr. Landlord. Our agreement was for 2 dollars, so you need to give me 2 dollars for my job"

Upon hearing this, the landlord said, "Why did you put in so much effort for just 2 dollars? That's crazy"

The carpenter explained, "It's not about the money, it's about my potential & skills. I have spent many years building my abilities. I loved my job and I strive to create the finest artwork. I didn't want to look at this door and regret not giving it my best. I take pride in being useful and always achieving my best craftsmanship."

After a few years, a huge house construction project came up and many carpenters showed up hoping to get the chance to work on it. Among the crowd, the old landlord spotted the carpenter who had built his door before and remembered his skills. With joy, he awarded the carpenter with the contract, which completely transformed the carpenter's life and turned him into a successful and wealthy person.

This story is my favorite, because it's not just tell the true feeling of craftsmanship but also tell us that we need to understand about our potential and we need to learn to give our all effort for achieving great success.
