People are used to pairs. Pairs of socks, gloves, eyes, ears. And if not pairs than groups. We are just used to seeing people in pairs holding hands, or two friends sitting over a cup of tea, a group of friends having a picnic or going to a bar, so they can join the paired-up community.

Yes, you may recieve some weird looks from various people, but that's just because they can't fully grasp the concept, that you can enjoy the time you spend alone, because they have never tried it.
