When it comes to setting new habits, we have some resistance to deal with and the luster of starting a new practice dissipates sooner than we’d like to admit.
To help establish them, we need a feedback loop to keep us committed when motivation ebbs. We can do this by setting up a tracking system, on a spreadsheet or app, that allows us to give ourselves a check-mark/cross mark for each habit execution.
