Ramon Magsaysay is Asia‘s premier and highest honour award. It is given to celebrate greatness of spirit and transformative leadership.It was created in 1957 after the death of well loved president Ramon Magsaysay.
The awardee receives a certificate, a medal printed with the image of late Ramon Magsaysay and cash prize of 50000 USD.
It was established in1957 by trustees of the New York City based Rock Fella Brothers and Government of Phillipines in the memory of 7th president Ramon Magsaysay.

Ramon Magsaysay ( Aug 31,1907- Mar 17,1957) was 7th president of Phillipines and 1st president born after the Spanish colonial era.
His administration was considered most cleanest and corruption free in modern Phillipines history. That's why his presidency is cited as Phillipines "Golden Years."
He was died in March 1957 due to plane crash along with 24 other passengers but somehow his wife was survived and died later in year 2004.
He was know for his simplicity, passion for the justice of Poors and overall advancement of human dignity.
