The nation's strength ultimately depends upon what it builds on its own and not on what it borrows from others.
India is second the largest importer of arms after Saudi Arabia. From bullets to missiles it largely depends on its allies, like Russia, the USA, Israel, and France are the biggest exporter of arms.
India has signed a deal with France to procure Rafales which is a 4.5 generation fighters jet. It will give a new edge to Air Force. After the induction of Rafales, it ends a decade of waiting for the modernization of the fighters jet.

Being the 5th largest economy and 4th biggest military power in the world, it is high time for the seeker to become self reliant in Defense. And India is on the right track to full fill its desire to Atmanirbhar.
Let me explain:
1: India's indigenously made Tejas fighters jet. One of the best light combat aircraft present in the world. It is a 4.5 generation but I know it's not as capable as Rafale it has some flaws but after about seven decades India has its own edge on fighter jets.
It is the beginning and India is on the threshold of new era, it will bring a new prosperity to India.
