The best way is to look at their actions and wait until you gather enough real-life data.

Making assumptions without the right data will never give you an accurate analysis of a person.

Admire people and learn from them. But don’t become someone’s blind follower.

The element of honesty is what separates blind following from admiration.

Honesty removes the fake image of perfection from your eyes. Instead, you see ordinary, accessible people with flaws and struggles, just like you. That’s why you admire them, for their reality.

When you see perfect people online, you realize that you lack something they don’t, which causes self-doubt.

The thing is, you don’t have any real-life data about them. You have no idea what they are like in real life.

In real life, people aren’t perfect. People have so many flaws that even they aren’t aware of.

Try to understand this: the day you can look at a bunch of people all competing with one another to be better in the eyes of someone, and choose to not be a part of that game, is the day you win in the mental battle of life. Look at that figure that you want to impress and see a person in them, nothing but a person just like other people you know. If they have the power to give you opportunities, then focus on what makes one capable to get that opportunity. Screw serving that person.

We keep prioritising happiness because we are convinced that happiness is all we want. In doing so we ignore things which have nothing to do with happiness like self-respect, morality, common sense etc.
