Law of resistance states that people tend to do the immediate thing which gives them instant satisfaction even if it comes at the cost of long term loss or disturbed office work space.To really benefit in long term plans one must contain emotions and devote most of working hours to deep work rather than craving for small wins.

In addition to studying the theoretical foundations of our digital age, Newport also writes about the impact of these technologies on the world of work. His most recent book, Deep Work, argues that focus is the new I.Q. in the modern workplace and that the ability to concentrate without distraction is becoming increasingly valuable.
