Structure of the Skeletal System

The appendicular skeleton includes bones of the shoulder,arms,hands,hips,legs and feet.

The Ribs protect the lungs and the heart. There are 12 pairs of ribs. The 7 upper pairs are the tree ribs and the lower 5 pairs are the false ribs.

The lower extremities are composed of pelvic bones. The upper arm has one big bone called humeius and two bones in the lower arm known as radius and ulna.
