Calendar Blocking

Schedule blocks of time to a specific task, or to sit down and get stuff done.

Feel free to use pen and paper or an online calendar. (I personally use Google Calendar.)

How I implement this:

  • I schedule 'Deep Work Sessions', which are blocks of time when I have to get stuff done. I'm free to assign myself whatever I want to get done, e.g. schoolwork, personal tasks. My Deep Work Sessions are from 9-11am, 4-6pm and 8-10pm.ย
  • Within my Deep Work Sessions, I create smaller blocks for specific tasks
