After the life vision exercise, your career moves and values will be consistent with your envisioned future goal. The next step is to write down your values, things that matter to you on a piece of paper.

Your values can include your working style, habits, prestige, a feeling of authority, freedom and flexibility. Stuff that you can check against the next job offer that comes your way.
