Facebook, Instagram and other social media apps allow us to put filter on things. In this way we become specialist in showing everybody that life is amazing, while we might be depressed or numb at the same time. And then there is the dopamine addiction, too. People turn to a device when they struggle. Social Media makes it also harder to establish meaning for relationships. A lot of millennials admit that they have a lot of friends, but a lot or all of them will let them down if something better comes along.
