So it seems that omnipotence is an inherently paradoxical idea. How are we meant to comprehend divine omnipotence in a way and avoid these paradoxes? First, we need to ask ourselves, “Can God act in ways that are contrary to his own nature?” Like, could God create another God and prostrate and worship him? Could God commit stealing, adultery or lying? These are obviously not things that God could do. God can't act contrary to his own nature. So such actions are usually exempted from divine omnipotence. To say that God is omnipotent or almighty doesn’t mean he can contradict his own nature.
