Moral Licensing is a theory which states that when you do a good deed, your subconscious mind thinks that you have earned the license to do a bad deed.
Like, when you donate a 100 dollars to a children foundation, you are less likely to donate 1 dollar to a homeless man than a person who didn't donate to the children foundation.
In this episode of Mindfield we get to know that this theory is very practical. People even tend to take a child take their bad deed's blame because they had donated 1$ to an organization.
