A whole other world exists on the other side of suffering.

In ancient times, when people felt doubted about a place in the lonely forest, the mind made them go back to their tribe and be safe and comfortable.Nowadays, when people try to do a new thing that makes them feel uncomfortable, the mind makes them go back to their comfort. Our mind holds a tactical advantage over us.Whenever you will try to do something that is not your habit, your mind will feel insecure. When you think of going to exercise, your mind tells you to leave it. It protects you from any discomfort. It will tell you to quit. If you hear to it, and give up, the future gives you up.

Our mind wants to protect us

When your mind asks you, "Dude, you remember the day when you said you will not give up on your new year resolutions and you slept for 12 hours the next day? You remember the day when you said you will study the whole night and you dozed off in 30 mins? How in the world do you think you are going to workout every morning? How in the world do you think you are going to run 1 km a day?"You gotcha have an answer to that. You have to shut your mind up. You have to rise above all fears and insecurities, and you have to NOT give up. You have to stay hungry. Hungry for the discomfort and sufferings.

If you can't answer the questions at that moment

You can have more than you've got because you can be more than you are.

A concept of physics-friction- is going to be used here. So when you are not moving, there is a force needed to make you move, to kill off the limiting friction. And when you are moving, there is a force needed to keep you moving, to kill of the kinetic friction.Similarly, the mind's doubt on us is like the friction but we have to have more determination than that, otherwise we simply can't proceed. You can achieve the impossible. It's just about how much force are you willing to fight the mind's friction. Without this force, progress is impossible.

How you grow

In the end, it's not about fame or being accepted by everyone, it's about who you've been with all this time and how it has all helped you. In the end it is about whether you have gained the ability to give back or not.You'll find your purpose and you'll find out one thing, that you are not in a race with billions of people but in a race with yourself.You should be able to say that you are giving you best and you are to the best to your ability.And that, is what makes you unstoppable.

Finding your purpose

If you don't sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice.

Master Your Mind - David Goggins - Become UNSTOPPABLE

Sleep is the thing we all need but some believe the contrary. The thing we do for one-third of our lives but many don't do it for even one-sixth of their time. The thing some do in 1 phase and others do in polyphase.
Dr. Rebecca Robbins and Dr. David Rapoport help us clarify our myths and beliefs about sleep.Let's debunk it!

Intro

1) Watching TV in bed is a good way to relax before sleep. It is recommended to not do this because TV is a source to bright blue light. It kick starts our circadian rhythm making it hard enough to sleep.
2) Drinking booze before bed will improve your sleep. Although, this myth is true to some extent, it disrupts your normal sleep. This means that it may delay your REM sleep or even delete it, creating disruptions for the individual.

Myth 1,2

3) Lying in bed with your eyes closed is almost as good as sleeping. Sleep is not like putting your keys off. It is an active process which includes entering 3-4 stages per hour or so and repeating the cycle 4-5 times a night. If disrupted, you feel not rested.
4) If you can't sleep, you should stay in bed and try to fall back asleep. You should stay in bed but not with the stress of sleeping. Try to relax and still if you can't sleep, get up and stretch out. It may help.
5) Many adults need 5 hours of sleep or less. Scores of data has shown that almost all adults need 7-8 hours of sleep.

Myth 3,4,5

6) Your brain and body will adapt to less sleep. Your performance keeps deteriorating the more you restrict your sleep. How bad you feel is way greater than how bad you think you are feeling. 
7) It doesn't matter what time of the day you sleep. Sleep is timed, it doesn't just happen. If you play with your sleep biology, it will soon play with you. Studies have shown greater probabilities of heart diseases and obesity in the people who don't sleep according to their biology.
8) Exercising within 4 hours of sleep disrupts your sleep. This can be helpful for some people while harmful for some.

Myth 6,7

9) Remembering your dreams is a sign of a good night's sleep. It doesn't matter, tbh. What matters is how you are feeling the next day in the morning.
10) Eating cheese (or any other food) before bed causes nightmares. There is no particular food that causes nightmares but feeling uncomfortable while sleeping may cause them.
11) Loud snoring is annoying but mostly harmless. Snoring is a sign that something blocks your respiratory tube. LOUD snoring is a sign that that tube may be completely blocked which is also called sleep apnea. It may cause disruptions in sleep.

Myth 9,10,11

12) Hitting snooze is better than getting up. It is advised to set alarm for the latest time possible as it gives you enough sleep and allows you to work better. Hitting snooze just fragments your sleep and even REM sleep sometimes.
13) You can simply become a morning person. You can't change your chronotype but you can trick your mind believing that it is morning instead of evening or vice-versa. This can be done by the blue light therapy. It makes you believe that you are working in a different time zone.

Myth 12,13

14) You can catch up on sleep during weekends. This is a very common practice but it disrupts your circadian rhythm. Waking up 3 or 4 hours later than your usual time may lead to social jet lag. You may be in NYC but your body is in London.
15) Boredom makes you tired even if you got enough sleep. Boredom unmasks your sleep deprivation. If you have slept enough, boredom can't make you sleep.

Myth 14, 15

If you get nightmares, cool down your room temperature. Hot bed causes nightmares.

The event is non-recurring- In this case, where this was your first-and-last or first-or-last chance, and you failed, when someone tells you that it's ok, you are probably going to punch him in the nose. Yes, it isn't ok if this was your last chance, but it shouldn't be your last chance of your life I guess. Change the direction of your efforts. Maybe you spent your whole efforts pushing on an immovable wall. Try to push a sandbag, rather. You will succeed, my friend. <ol><li>Your ambition is not equal to your desires.- A desire could be earning a million dollars, but an ambition cannot be equal to your desire because desire is just a milestone, it doesn't make you happy. Your ambition should be such that your desires become a by-product of it. Like becoming a wealthy person and being independent could be your ambition and it will make your desire achieved.</li><li>Your ambition will change.- As you age, you realize this that your ambition is bound to change. Those who think its rigid, lead a painful life. If you are young, you must know that your ambition will change.</li></ol>

3  Your ambition needs to match the opportunities that you sit on.- If your ambition does not match your availed opportunities then it is the opportunities that need to be worked upon, not your ambition. You set your mechanism to set opportunities in our life. The best thing you can do for your life is to create an opportunity engine. You must route your wanted opportunities to yourself.

I wanted to talk about something we are told we should all have our lives: ambition. While there's a lot of talk about it, but we don't truly understand it or how it works through the ages. It's often pegged to something false or not very foundational.

Understanding your ambition

What we think we know is what we believe we know.

Psychologist, B.F. Skinner put a pigeon in a box and gave it food at regular intervals irrespective of what it was doing. He noticed that the pigeons believed that they were given food because of what they are doing; like hopping around etc.This behavior was called as 'superstitious belief' by Skinner.

Here, Michael made a room with checkerboard tiles on the floor and a button in the middle of the room kept at a table. He also made a money outlet (like the food outlet in original skinner box) from which 1 dollar bills would come out. The people (pigeons) were told that their aim is to collect as much bills as they can in 10 minutes. Michael sent them each bill after 30 seconds BUT people thought that they are causing the bills to come. For example, a woman thought that her opening and closing of the door led by pressing of the button was causing the bill to come.

Human Skinner Box

some people thought that dancing would urge the machine to give bills. A lady thought that pushing the button 4 times, then going out and coming in to the room was causing it, some made the producers laugh. But there was this one man who just stood there and didn't push the button at all, in fact, he resisted it. This thought of thinking that your actions are not affecting the money was called 'extinction' by Skinner. When he was asked about it in the interview, he said that he had thought that what would others not do. so he decided to do a different thing- do nothing.

Here they will be trying to feel the person that they have induced a spirit in them. That's why it's reverse exorcism.A clinic with dim lights with religious and scientific symbols here and there. People sat down on the bed, a doctor entered told that they will be facing reverse exorcism. A priest entered, holding Christ entered with his "ancient" book. They attached a brain-activity-checking machine to their head. The doctor, not the priest, started reading the things from the book like 'relax yourself, you may see a cut head or your mouth would start tweaking or fingers tinkling".

There was lady who said that she saw her deceased mother, she heard an angel say "Come, we can relieve you." She continued to watch wings. She could feel the winds and said that the dream was vivid.

Observation

<ul><li>We are belief-machines. We are patter seekers.</li><li>When confronted with uncertainty, people often behave superstitiously. Under the belief that they do have control.</li><li>To not form a superstition about the word around us makes us powerless.</li><li>Are we all fools?</li></ul>

The first thing I learnt from its blink apart from the fact that ninjas are ruthless, agile, and imperfect is that ninjas don't manage time, they manage attention. So, the first step is to know attention cycle. It refers to knowing when you are proactively attentive, when you are actively attentive and when inactively attentive. Some people have proactive attention in the morning and inactive attention after lunch while some have this swapped. But what matters is to do the right things at the right time. The ninja maps his attention levels, noting when he’s at his best and when he slumps.

Attend To Attention

First, stop checking your e-mails, and start processing them. You want to get emails out of your inbox qs soon as possible. To process emails efficiently, remember the three d’s: if you can deal with it, delete it, or delegate it in less than two minutes, then do it!  For Emails that demand more than two minutes, create designated folders- The first, the action folder, is for emails that require an action that will take more than two minutes. Next, the read folder is for emails you’d like to read. And finally, the waiting folder is for emails that need someone else’s attention.

Making Your E-Mail Inbox Zero

<ol><li>Jot down all your tasks, shower brilliant ideas, and repetitive thought at one place. </li><li>Then take some paper slips and write those tasks, ideas and thoughts in those paper slips. </li><li>Now place these paper slips at places like your mail box or office tray. By now, you should be staring down a small mountain of paper.</li><li>To attend to these tasks, we first need to organize them.</li></ol>

Capture And Collect

First, sort your tasks into two categories: Projects and Master Actions.<ol><li>Projects are your most involved tasks. E.g.-getting a wi-fi connection. This task contains a several tasks in itself. Hence, it comes under project.</li><li>Next, break your projects down into action items. This list of project-related actions forms part of your Master Action List.</li><li> Non-project related tasks – things like “renew driver’s license” or “book meeting room for Tuesday” – should be here, too. Basically, if it’s actionable, it goes on the Master Action List.</li><li>Group tasks into categories like “Office,” “Home,” etc.</li></ol>

The suffering the Buddha spoke of included people’s longing for pleasure and the knowledge that one day everyone will be parted from their loved ones. It included the fact that the wonders of life end in death.The Buddha called this suffering dukkha. Human beings are like a dog, he said, tied to a post and unable to escape, forever pulling at the rope. He called this trap of suffering the wheel of samsara, or the cycle of life and death.

<ol><li>Ardency-In the Satipatthana Sutta, he told his followers that they would need the quality of ardency on their journey, meaning the ability to sustain their efforts over the long haul.</li><li>Impermanence-In Buddhism, all things change except for nibbana – that highest form of happiness. Emotions and thoughts come and go, and the world we live in is one of birth, growth, decay, and death. </li><li>When you accept that suffering comes from the self, you realize renouncing the self not only ends your suffering, but also the suffering you cause others. The Buddha called this sense of purpose clear comprehension.</li></ol>

In the Satipatthana Sutta, the Buddha takes joy in telling his students how the body can lead the way to enlightenment. Begin, he advises, by sitting on the floor with your back straight and your legs crossed. Focus on your breath. Start by simply noting what is happening: I am breathing in. I am breathing out. Then take note of whether the breath is short or long. Eventually, you’ll become aware of where you are in the breath – the beginning, middle, end. As you go on, you’ll notice that you don’t just breathe with your nose and your mouth, or even lungs. Breath occurs through the whole body

Mindfulness

The first is impermanence. Feel your nerves spark with micro-sensations, and note that these always pass. Second, witness the driving force of suffering. See how you shift positions to counter an ache in your tailbone or stretch to ease a cramp. Third and last, see how mindfulness of the body reveals the absence of the self. You are skin, bone, sinew, organs, bile, snot, and tears. You are an interdependent system of things. There is no bigger you behind it. In this context, “you” – as the entity directing the system – are a fiction.

The mind contains the seeds of its own awakening—seeds that we can cultivate to bring forth the fruits of a life lived consciously. Have you seen the movie 'Interstellar'? Cool movie, right. How would you like to be in that movie forever but just on that earth where nothing grows but only corns?This will be our exact situation after 50 to 55 years if we keep on doing what we are doing and you know what I'm talking about.Industrialization, desertification, soil erosion, fertilizers, pesticides, chemicals...We are destroying the very thing that keeps us alive in innumerable ways. We are killing our future generations. The very kids you love will starve to death and you won't be able to stop it.

A handful of soil contains 8 to 10 billion micro-organisms. Human has come from humus. We are living soil. In the previous 25-30 years, 80% of insect biomass has become lost. Disappeared. There will be 30% less food in the next 20 years. And when this happens, people with the greatest hunger and the biggest guns will kill the healthy ones to live. The poor will kill the rich for food and the rich will die. Soil needs to have at least 3% organic content to be agriculturable. But In India, for example, 62% of the soil has less than 0.5% organic content in it.

Soil is ploughed or paved to 9 or 12 inches of depth below and left open to dry (die). Land needs to be covered under tree shade so that it doesn't become dry. It needs to have those dead yellow leaves on top of it to cover it in the sunlight, not to be swept off in the gardens you play around. Land needs to be below grasses, trees, herbs, bushes to have the organic content which keeps it alive.

You can spread the awareness. You can make others conscious. Like I did to you. It is you who has to spread the message. On social media, casual talks, school lunchtime, work lunchtime, it is YOU who has to make them aware. So that they demand the soil we all need. You ask, how will spreading help?Well, in democracies the only currency that runs is numbers. When the governments will see millions of people demanding the same thing, they will address it in their manifestos so that the win the elections. They will bring us policies to revitalize soil and that is exactly what we need.

What can you do?

From 21st of March a 100 days rally has been held by Sadhguru. He is riding 3000 km from London to Cauvarey basin where he is spreading the message through posters, banners, paintings, colors, speeches.
