Circle of Being?
If consciousness is impared by surroundings, consciousness has to be equal with feelings. as without feelings there is no driving thought (to perceive surroundings) cause everything is given by instincts. Now those feelings give the thoughts a purpose with joy and other things, which links to a sense about surroundings. The only thing outside that circle is that feelings also can be unconscious
