There are two points of view in this book. The first is from the perspective of Laut, which tells about his struggles to fight for democracy. And the second point of view is from Asmarajati, Laut's younger sister. In the Asmara section, she narrates what happened after Laut and other student being kidnap by the government.
Some were sent home but 13 others have disappeared without a trace. Asmara Jati, Aswin's parents, relatives and students who were freed in the kidnapping act are fighting together to find their whereabouts.
