Finding the right keywords

When doing keyword research for niche affiliate sites, you’re mostly looking for three main types of keywords:

• General comparisons – Best wifi router, best protein powder
• Branded comparisons – MacBook Air vs. MacBook Pro
• Product reviews – MacBook Pro review

These contain all the keyword types that people regularly search for and where you can plug products to earn affiliate commissions.

• Go to Ahrefs’ Keywords Explorer
• Enter broad topics or brands related to your niche
• Go to the Matching terms report
• Filter for keywords containing a relevant modifier
