Remind yourself that there's almost never an objectively correct answer.

All you can do is make the decision that's the best for you at the time, and it's probably going to work out okay either way.

If you talked to other people the way you talked to yourself, you’d probably have zero friends, no job, and multiple warrants out for your arrest. Why treat yourself in a different way?

This is an extremely effective way to speed up the learning process.

If you quiz yourself and answer incorrectly,  you are more likely to remember the right answer after you look it up and you'll also remember the fact you didn't remember.
