What Knowledge Was by Confucius 

His most intense teaching moment occurred just before his death, in 399 B.C.E., in prison, when he told his students that philosophy was nothing other than a preparation for dying.

Socrates.

"

He wasn't difficult to understand - he didn't like complicated phrases - but it often took a while for his simple words to sink in.

Confucius' Personality 

In Confucius's view, the chaos of the present had infected even the meaning of words -When names are not correct, what is said will not sound reasonable;When what is said does not sound reasonable, affairs will not culminate in success;When affairs do not culminate in success, rites and music do not flourish;

Every New Book I read, I find a different view for history; Here are some stashes in two of the great philosphers of all time & knowing them from different books encourages my reading curiosity. 
The Written World,How Literature Shaped History is an interesting book & I can't wait to read them all; for now I am on chapter 4 and might be reading it while you are reading this.
