Find a Mentor

A mentor is someone who is on the same career path as you, but further along.

They guide you through things like how to avoid potential pitfalls, and how you might approach the next steps of your career.

Instead of directly approaching someone to be your mentor, which can be intrusive, try the organic approach in your normal conversations, so that a helpful senior can volunteer to be your mentor in a particular area of expertise.

Mentorship is perhaps the quickest way to take your skills to the next level. Look for an expert in the field and reach out for their help. 

Reach out by highlighting what you offer rather than what you wish to gain. This will ensure the mentor is more interested in assisting you.
