Reconnecting with self takes some healing. The key to healing is feeling, not suppressing. Oftentimes we don’t want to think about what we are feeling. Avoid unhealthy coping mechanisms and old patterns by paying attention to how you are feeling. Give yourself space as if you were someone else. Place attention on pinpointing exactly what it is you are feeling, not the situation itself. Once acknowledged, embrace the emotion, once the emotion is embraced, release the emotion.
