More often than not , we exaggerate things out of perspective in our head. In reality, it is as simple as getting started. Sometimes things are not inherently difficult, it's just difficult to start. "Just do it" seems to be the end all be all advice for stuff like these. For me, it's doing the dishes or cleaning the house. I blow things out of proportion and makes me think it is too difficult. When I try and just get up and do these , they do themself it's that easy!

Of course , this applies to some stuff. For other stuff, "Practice makes perfect"

  • Separate the person from the behavior. It will allow you to identify your own limits and find what aspect of a person's behavior troubles you. "I find you obnoxious" vs. "The idea you suggested does not consider..."
