AGIs and Rights

When we get to AGIs we will have to think of them not as algorithms but as a form of people. To poses general intelligence, AGIs need to be creative, to be creative they need to be disobedient, to be disobedient they need to be free. 

The whole problem of developing AGIs is a matter of philosophy, not computer science or neurophysiology, and that the philosophical progress that is essential to their future integration is also a prerequisite for developing them in the first place.
