Pleasure Or Happiness
These are two pieces of the same coin and between them there is a third concept that is always hidden or forgotten but nonetheless present in every desicion we make : pain.
To keep it simple, all the choices we have can be divided into 2 categories :
- the immediate pleasure, that is followed one way or another by pain in the future
- the future happiness, that is the result of a pain endured in the present moment.
One way or another there is a price that we pay so the question is : Do I want to get small fun now and suffer later or am I ready to suffer now to be happy later ?
