In the art of observing, we use the senses we have to gather information. We also use techniques to help us such as no distractions, active looking & hearing, and asking questions to gather more details and apply them.

The world is filled with distractions, it's presence attract us and baits you from what your doing. Active observation needs no distractions such as phones. Passive is being reluctant or not being immersed. While active is the participation on the concept given. Observing in simpler terms is gathering the information on what we saw, hear, feal, and the other senses. The basic foundation to mastering this art is using the senses.<ul><li>See - what are the details of the visual being represented?</li><li>Hear - what am I hearing?</li><li>Smell - what is it's scent?</li><li>Taste - what does it taste like?</li><li>Feel - how does it feel?</li></ul>

These two senses are incredible in observing, obviously the other sense are good in specific areas but these two are the most used. Before we explain active looking and hearing, we need to understand the difference between passive and active.
