D-16 begins as a law-abiding citizen who believes in the Cybertronian system, despite its flaws.
However, he gradually becomes disillusioned as he experiences injustice and witnesses the corruption of those in power, particularly Sentinel Prime.
The death of his idol, Megatronus Prime, and the revelation of Sentinel Prime's lies further fuel his anger and resentment.
