You delegate when you describe a project or task to one of your team members, give them the objective, and make sure that they have the resources they need. 

Then you send them off to do the job. Mostly, you leave them alone unless they ask for help. 

Difficult people drive you crazy because their behavior is so irrational. 

Distance yourself from them emotionally and approach your interactions like they’re a science project (or you’re their shrink). You don’t need to respond to the emotional chaos -- only the facts.

Something as simple as dropping your keys once will fire dopamine neurons. But, if you drop them a few more times, the neurons will get bored and stop taking notice.
