Gotta work harder, put in the effort for lasting results

The hard way forces you to ask if you are willing to put in the effort to do it.

Sometimes the answer is no. The cost is too high, or other obligations take priority. No is a valid answer. Better to say no now, and not let it eat away at your resolve. But if your answer is yes, you know ho...

It pays off eventually. Efforts to connect may not pay off right there and then,  or even in a fair way, but they do pay off.

Even if this effort pays off half the time, it is worth it.

You don't have to resign yourself to a mundane wardrobe. If you work in an office, boring office clothes may allow you to look professional, but not special. It is recommended to slightly overdress rather than underdress.
