2. Always Create Positive Outcomes

2. Always Create Positive Outcomes

It can sometimes be difficult to think positively when we are going through negative change. But remember, we can always create a positive outcome if we have a growth mindset.

Try practising creating a positive outcome no matter what the circumstance.

Self Improvement

1. Focus on Your Response

The success formula for managing change is:

Event + Response = Outcome

The event is something we have no control over, but when we focus on what we can change, which is our response, we will begin to embrace it.

3. Start "Acting As If"

Begin with the idea that you are already someone who can embrace change. Then, focus on showing up when change occurs rather than trying to force yourself to be something you are not yet.

This way, you will feel like a person who should respond, rather than someone who is forced to.

4. Acknowledge Your Fears

Remember that embracing change is a process. Take your time and do not try to rush into it. We all have fears when it comes to embracing change.

It may be not being able to complete something we wanted to or hearing some terrible news.

Whatever those fears are, take notice of them and start working on them by trying to create positive outcomes for each one.

Reason #2 Why People Resist Change & How To Help

Reason: They don't know how big a deal the change actually is. Have you ever started a project so overwhelming that you didn’t even know where to start? This is how change can feel, too.

The Fix: Try using the 4-door approach to give the change some edges.

  1. What are the things we used to be able to do and still can?
  2. What are the things we couldn’t do before and still can’t?
  3. What are the things we used to do but can’t now?
  4. What are the things we couldn’t do before but can now?

You need clarity of purpose to succeed

Napoleon Hill once said that we must know what we want and we must have the strong desire to possess it.

Without a purpose, it’s easy to pursue things that you “think you should be doing”.
