So to make sure to get the best of the book speed reading can be a skill incredibly useful.You get to read more books in short period of time. Which is pretty sweet.

Why Should One Read Faster ?

Try and Reduce subvocalizationif you try and Reduce speaking of what you're reading in the book, it can take your reading speed to next level because now you can just blitz through a lot of stuff.Read the middle parttim Ferris has talked about this idea in his video as well.Thay due to our very good peripheral vision we don't need to start every line from the first word, we can instead start itbfrom the middle or from one word after the start.

Use a pointerUsing a pointer can be particularly useful in reading physical books.Because our eyes move in steps ( they don't move smoothly on their own ). But if eyes follow a pointer or finger while going through the book it'll turn into smoother movements and save a lot of time.Gamify reading fastSometimes when reading gets boring, then you can gamify the whole experience, like let me see how must fastbcan I read this book without affecting my comprehension of the subject.It would make the whole experience a lot of fun and interesting.

Make a summarymake an active summary of the book, like..<ul><li>What's the books is about in my opinion</li><li>Summarise the books in 3 sentences</li><li>3 best quotes</li><li>Who should read it</li><li>How it changed me</li></ul>You get the idea.It will help in active recall of the book and also to meke sure that you've goten the core of the book in reading fast.

By having so much content out there, the ability sift through the fluff and to get to the main point has never been more important.

How to SPEED READ

Habit 1 - Make your bed:How you do one thing determines how you do everything. Making bed would have a domino effect in life.Habit 2 - Move, Hydrate, Sunlight:Move- prime your body for the day, get the blood pumping, so that it knows that it's GO TIMEHydrate- after 6-8 hours of sleep you wake up dehydrated in the morning. 1-2 glass of water as soon as you wake up will be sufficient.Sunlight- It's important for healthy function of your circadian rhythm, to give you energy, for better sleep. You can combine this with other chores or with your morning exercise.

Part-1 The 10 Success Habits

Your brain operates with 30% less acuity when you are dehydrated

Habit 3 - Read:It must be a book that either you're curious about or the subject matter is directly related to the goals you are currently working towards. consistency is the key.Habit 4 - Prioritise your 3 MITs:Write down in descending order of importancethe 3 most important tasks (MITs) for today.Include growth tasks rather than maintenance tasks. Ex, growth task- get out of comfort zone (add more weight) ; maintenance task- do it same way like before (do exercise).Ask yourself, 'what task if completed first will make everything easier or irrelevant ?' and do it first. Write them down.

Habit 5 - Schedule your dayDo what works for youThere's a famous saying that goes, "If it ain't on your schedule; it ain't happening." - actually the author just made that up :DBut on a little serious note, most of the successful people follow a schedule.Habit 6 - Run pomodorosHumans have limited amount of attention span, to leverage it fully use pomodoro method (search on the web if you don't know what it is), to get more work done without burning out.Avoid multitasking

Habit 7 - ConnectConnect with someone smarter than you. Which typically begins with you reaching out to them.What will stop you is negative self-talk like, "you're not enough" or "they're too busy" which is garbage, because no one is busy, it is about priorities.To increase chances of success of connecting with smarter people come from a place of non-neediness and add value to their life.Habit 8 - Speak cleanBy changing the words we use (ex- I wish / I can't.. to I'm going to / I will) , we change our lives. Simple, right?

Habit 9 - Dress for successDressing well has a powerful psychological effect on how you feel about yourself and how you behave.Habit 10 - Be held accountableJoing or creating group and having an accountability buddy is one of the best investments you can ever make. Without it it's easy to slack off.Bonus habit - SMILENo need to tell benefits of smiling. Stating just one of the many below-<ol><li>It keeps you and others around you in a stress-free happy mood. Just do it</li></ol>

Tip 1- 66 days21 days is a myth. Don't quit until you've successfully implemented habit for a minimum of 66 days. Because everytime it gets stronger in your subconscious.Tip 2- Build 1 habit at a timeThis the the best takeaway for me from this book. Multitasking is a Big No. You'll end up diversifying your focus and losing the momentum required to build a habit.As arule of thumb start new habit only after 30 days of successful implementation of older habit.Tip 3- The KISS principleKeep it simple stupid.Make it so easy that even your grandma can do it, that it doesn't even bother you doing it.

Tip 4- Establish your whyWhen you feel like giving up, return to your why you started in the first place.Tip 5- Keep the context constantRoutine helps in building automaticity.Cue - action - repeatTip 6- Be held accountable1. Can use stickk.comTip 7- Never miss 2 days in a row

Tip 8- Do it in the morningAfter waking up brain is well rested and most primed for productivity. Experiment and see which time works for you.Tip 9- Pain and pleasure principleFocus on pleasure of developing a habit as opposed to pain of not developing it.Tip 10- Write it downWrite down exactly how, where and when you'll implement the habit of your choice.

It is a documentary that emphasizes the following points:-the technology ( be it Facebook, instagram, snap chat, YouTube, Google like tech. Companies or your mobile phone and gadgets ) that connects us to the world, also..1. controls us, by using our own psychology ( of dopamine pathway- pain, pleasure and anticipation ) against us.2. manipulates us, fake news speeds 6 times faster than truth on social media like Facebook, and people literally believe flat earth controversy and pizzagate theory, if they see same information again & again in different forms.

3. Polarizes us, which causes social chaos. some experts say if it goes through like this it can even lead to extinction of humanity. 4. Distracts us, I don't need to say anything here, u know it very well.

5. Monetizes us, they see what we scroll, touch, type, see, pause on everything. And what do they with this data? They sell it to companies who want to sell us stuff, so essentially they are selling us. ( Shook? Me too) 6. Devides us, we belive the other person is our enemy, if he/ she doesn't agree on our opinion of some mundane topic even.
