I recently read the book “Emotional Intelligence 2.0 ” by Jean Greaves and Travis Bradberry, which was among the books in my ‘To-Read’ list this year and I really enjoyed it, deeply.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE 2.0

Emotional intelligence (EQ), according to the authors, is the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one’s own emotions effectively, as well as the ability to recognize, understand, and influence the emotions of others.  The EQ concept has a set of skills and competencies that are crucial for navigating social interactions, making sound decisions, and achieving success in various aspects of life.

Definition: Understanding one’s own emotions and being aware of how these emotions can impact thoughts, decisions, and ultimately actions.It forms the foundation of emotional intelligence, allowing individuals to recognize and comprehend their emotional responses.
