Why You Should Read This Book?

Not only is the main character interesting with his struggles, theories, sinful actions caused by delusional thoughts, lost self-esteem, and the awful environment where he lived, but also every other character in this masterpiece has his/her dark side, and they all suffer from guilt. Dostoevsky made none of them bad in general, but rather showed their nature as just human beings with their full picture, making neither of them a monster or wrong, but tragic.

The author's approach is filled with kindness. Instead of judgment, it offers us a naked portrayal of the dark and light sides of our souls, leaving many different clues defining practically every range of possible sinful mind that can exist.

With sincere descriptions of his characters' feelings, Fiodor Michailovich makes it possible for the reader to dive in and explore their own emotions as deeply as never before.
