These person tend to focus more on taking action rather than to think it slowly. They are more decisive, flexible, and more likely to implement their intentions in the face of adversity

Action Oriented People

These people tend to focus more on their emosional condition rather than to take action. They struggle to make choices and more likely to abandon their commitment

State Oriented People

There were no difference between two types of people in term of speed, accuracy, bias, or sensitivity when making decision.The difference between the two: action oriented people have more confidence in their choices.Sate oriented people have more considerations before making a choices. And this is quite useful when making long-term choices (Ex: Taking a job, choose university/degree, etc)

How It Affect The Quality Of Our Decision?

Less or more confidence in making choices does not make your choices better or worse. But it can affect your perception when you implement that choices. Less confidence can hinder people to take an action and believe in their progress. But to much confidence will likely cause people to not properly examine many alternative in their choice.

Conclusion

Decisive people may be more confident in their choices, but that does not mean they are better at making decisions than the rest of us.

Choking is a phenomenon in which people tend to fail when performing under pressure. This is also applied to people who fail at the most critical or key point in their life.

What is "Choking"?

Choking primarily is caused by a mental state. Especially when people are feeling nervous and not focused

Cause of "Choking"

There are two theories that can explain why people tend to choke: Distraction Theory and Explicit Monitoring theory.

Two Theories of Choking

Our brain commonly can only handles one task at a time. So, when people doing multiple activities at the same time, our focus will lower. This is also applies to activity that are more difficult and intensive.

Distraction Theory

This theory explain that choking can happen because people tend to over-analyse what they want to do. This will affect how they perform the task. Activities that performed spontaneously is more easy to do and will have a better result.

Explicit Monitoring Theory

1. Try to train and performing activity under pressure. This will help you accustomed to pressure and help you to maintain focus longer which will lead to better result.2. Do a pre-activities routine, like taking a deep breath, memorize key word, moving your body, etc. This will help you more relaxed.3. Focused on external goals. Having external goals will help you not to get distracted by your internal feeling like anxiety, nervous, etc.

When you try to explain an ideas, try not to make much sentence or main idea more than three parts.If you exceed this, try to eliminate and summary that part so it can compromise into only three parts

First Rule

If people still have difficulty to understand your speech. Try to explain it in different ways. You can use stories, metaphors, or real case in daily life to make it easy to understand

Second Rule

If there is any difficull ideas or concept you want to tell. You can explain in multiple times to make sure people really grasp what are you saying.Repetition will make people easily understand step by step, from the simple to the most complex meaning.

What I would prefer is a process that transforms you so the tips take place automatically. I mean for instance, very often a tip is given: “When you're speaking to a crowd, vary the pace of your speech, vary the volume.” Well, those are two good things, but if they happen mechanically it gets to be kind of boring. Some people are encouraged when they're coached: “At this point leave where you're standing and walk over there and take a pause.” Well, maybe that makes sense in terms of how it's written; at the end of that paragraph you want to make a space before the next paragraph, but it doesn't necessarily make sense in terms of how you're talking and relating to the people you're talking with.
