5 Second Rule

5 Second Rule

"The 5 Second Rule is simple. If you have an instinct to act on a goal, you must physically move within 5 seconds or your brain will kill it. The moment you feel an instinct or a desire to act on a goal or a commitment, use the Rule.

When you feel yourself hesitate before doing something that you know you should do, count 5-4-3-2-1-GO and move towards action."

Don't do self-sabotaging. This is really hard to do in the first place, but as time goes by, you can notice the difference with or without this productivity rule.

Pomodoro Technique

Pomodoro Technique

For many people, time is an enemy. We race against the clock to finish assignments and meet deadlines. The Pomodoro Technique teaches you to work with time, instead of struggling against it.

Start by choosing a task, set a timer for 25 minutes and work solely on that task without interruption until the timer goes off. When your timer rings, take a short break and relax. Then return to your task if you didn't finish it. For every four pomodoros, you take a longer break of around 20 or 30 minutes.

25 minutes to get all your work done and 5 minutes break. Stick to the format and voila!
