A take on the recent Texas school Shootout

A take on the recent Texas school Shootout

Joe Biden wants to ban guns as he thinks that the easy availability of guns is the culprit for the Texas school shootings. But in my humble opinion, he is missing the underlying deeper reason.

Banning guns in America is like banning porn in India. It's like trying to solve cancer by putting a bandage on it.

This is nothing new for America. In reality, we are slowly moving towards a newer kind of ideology known as nihilism. And nihilism is an ideology as it has an idea that places the idea of "Nothing matters" on top of all other values.

"God is Dead"

Nietzsche said "GOD is dead and we have killed him" in his book The Gay Science and I think the death of God here resembles the devaluation of all higher values which were a by-product of the belief structure which itself is dying as the central figure withholding it is no more believable; where there are no higher values to strive towards one strives towards the thought "everything is temporary" and one is permitted to shoot their own classmates without any restraint in the consciousness. Other Humans beings are reduced to mere "OTHERS". Nihilism is the future.

The Problem and its solution

Nihilism is the product of a society that fails to create anything beautiful out of solitude. An economic ecosystem that fails to create human beings who can not only endure loneliness but also use it to beautify and transcend even their most "lower feelings" rather than degenerate with their "lower feeling". Lower feelings like the feeling of lust, want for violence, disgust, intence envy, etc..

The materialization of the American Society

The American society is truly a materialistic society. The values provided by Ayn rand have been taken at face value in the absence of a deeper meaning. While Emerson and Thoreau have been completely forgotten.
