Manipulation is the use of deception, coercion, or other forms of trickery to get what you want from someone else. It is a form of social influence that is often used to exploit or control others.

Types of Manipulation
- Emotional manipulation: Using someone's emotions to control their behavior. Eg. Guilt, fear, anger.
- Gaslighting: Making someone question their own reality. Eg. Denying things they said or did, making them feel crazy.
- Triangulation: Using a third party to control a relationship. Eg. Badmouthing partner to friends or family to make them doubt the relationship.
- Love bombing: Showering someone with attention and affection to gain trust. Then withdrawing it to control them.

How to deal with Manipulation ?
If you think that you are being manipulated, there are a few things you can do:
- Set boundaries: Let the manipulator know what you are and are not willing to do.
- Be assertive: Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself and say no.
- Talk to someone you trust: Talk to a friend, family member, therapist, or other trusted person about what is happening.
- Get away from the manipulator: If the manipulation is severe, it may be necessary to get away from the manipulator altogether.
