Girard mimetic theory explains how our we copy each-others desires, thus creating an inescapable, endless cycle of violence. His apocalyptic predictions seem more like a form of incomplete thinking than a definitive conclusion to his theories.

Jonathan Bi, a Girardian scholar and a Buddhist practitioner aims to complete mimetic theory by putting it under the light of Buddhist phenomenology. His ambition is to show that mimetic theory and Buddhism complete each other.
