The Tria Prima are a concept in alchemy which basic elements that act as a foundation to all elements. Manipulating these Primes would hold the key to spiritual enlightenment, immortality, and of course, transmutation

1. the first of which appears to have denoted whatever remained fixed in the fire;
2. the second, whatever was inflammable;
3. the third, whatever was neither fixed nor inflammable, but rose in vapour without being burned.
