In my junior secondary school 3, I was taught about search engines, but truth be told, I didn't grasp what it was about. I didn't understand that fundamentally, a search engine is different from a web browser.
I didn't understand the correlation between them. I confused a web browser as a search engine and called the search engine, on most occasions, a web browser until today.

Personal view: Supposedly, I should say “Alphabet Inc is” but I feel it will not sync well as Google started everything off.
I kinda still see Google as the main company when it comes to the workings and innovation, and Alphabet Inc, more like the “because-of-stocks parent company.”

Contrary to most individuals’ default understanding, a search engine is not the same as a web browser. They are quite symbiotic in their relationship but one can actually function without the other, and that one is the web browser.
