In this book, it teaches us that hope is very important. Twig, a very weird and optimistic girl, was abundant with hope. Dari, was filled with hope for Twig after meeting her. Natalie, the main character was hopeful to cure her depressed mum and the trio was hopeful to win the egg-drop competition and was hopeful to steal a cobalt blue orchid seed to save Natalie's mum. Although they didn't manage to steal the seed, their courage, hope, and friendship woke Natalie's mum, and she tried to be less depressed and was hopeful for her future
