Now this behavior (curious) is seen in more prominence in mammals especially humans.

Now whenever we see new things that are fascinating to us, we want to know more about it. Then, the parts of our brain responsible for learning and memory kick into high gear, so that we can learn.

And when we get the answers to our questions , we feel happy. And your brain rewards you for this. Dopamine is the reward chemical that makes you feel happy.
