Desires must be dominant and definite
Chapter 2 of this book deals with the concept of desire.
To simply wish for something isn’t enough, one must borderline obsess over it, and then, as if by magic, the universe will oblige.
Hill classifies desire as the “starting point of all achievement” and points out that belief is a prerequisite to success.
Don’t wish - be willing to receive, and life will give you what you demand of it.

Desire + faith is a formidable combination..

Faith is key
Chapter 3 begins with the idea of belief.
Desire on it’s own is insufficient, you must also believe you can.
Emotion + thought is the avenue for direct communication with the subconscious / Infinite Mind.
Daily affirmations (autosuggestion) can help one “trick” their own mind.
Thus, we get to pick our own deceptions. Determine your dominant thoughts.

Chapter four deals with the concept of autosuggestion, essentially a mode of self talk that can work to either enhance or diminish your immediate reality.
Mr Napoleon Hill refers to it as the “medium for influencing the subconscious mind”
The primary mode of communication between the material and immaterial. We are thus able to “feed” ourselves with thoughts that increase and edify our lives.
This strategy can also be used in conjunction with visualisation, which lets us see ourselves winning, and moves our perspective to one of anticipation.
