We avoid tasks due to the problematic anxiety making us choose the easy path, in line with the principle of least effort.
If instead of succumbing to these feelings of anxiety, we persist with what we want to do, tolerating the discomfort, we start to learn new coping skills and move towards curiosity and understanding.
We realize that these seemingly large difficulties were just smoke and mirrors, having no real substance, and we simply need to move ahead and focus on the learning.
