More things not to say
- "Everything happens for a reason." Unfortunately, life isn't always fair. Not all things we look back on will have a good lesson.
- "As I said before." It sounds condescending, no matter how you pronounce it. Try to rephrase your words, or just go ahead and repeat yourself.
- "With all due respect." This phrase tells people that they are about to get criticized. So instead, just say what you need to say.
- "Whatever." This word is dismissive and makes people feel like you do not care. If we have to respond, we might as well be helpful.
