What is a Warp Drive?

What is a Warp Drive?

A Warp Drive, simply defined, is a theoretical device that distorts the shape of the space-time continuum in order to propel itself and speeds faster than light. In a nutshell, the fabric of spacetime is bent to the point where it refracts objects at incredibly high speeds. Again, hard to conceptualize, but very cool indeed. By understanding how spacetime warps, understanding a warp drive is very simple. So give it some thought! Come up with your own theories as to how it works and who knows? You might even win a Nobel peace prize for it!
