I have a situation where My mind is hyper-vigilant about security and fear. It creates stress, migraines, allergies and chronic pain because I am also Temporal Lobe Epileptic. It’s a side effect that I picked up from the way a Person treated Me and this is how My Brain has reacted to it. SO I have to do a lot of self-soothing.
It is hard to devote time to, but well worth it. Think of it as a Vitamin S.
Self-Soothing creates an endorphin rush, giving pleasurable feelings toward the end, when You are more in control again.
