Flow states are deep states of focus achieved when the attention of a person is directed towards a certain activity completely. This is a state of mind that takes the capabilities of that person to a whole new level.
This state is mostly said to be achieved by athletes and can also be achieved by anyone(if you focus hard enough).
According to my experience, meditation (focusing on the breath) may improve the chances of entering into a flow state during an activity. For further information please do visit the link mentioned.
