The Metaverse could be experienced in three stages.
- A head-mounted display and two hand controllers. VR today only influences sight, hearing, and a limited form of touch.
- Haptic bodysuits and omnidirectional treadmills or shoes could allow the body to feel and move around a virtual space as it would in the real world.
- Advanced VR will include neurohaptics. Neurotech is a technology that can use signals from the brain to replicate a virtual environment without any user interface.
