Desire - Deepstash

Desire

What is desire? Is it not a sensation? Desire is sensation with the object of its attainment. The symbol may be a picture, a person, a word, a name, an idea which gives me a sensation, which makes me feel that i like or dislike it. If it is pleasurable i want to attain it posses it, after a while, i change the picture, idea, the image. With one form of pleasure i am fed up, tired, bored. So i seek new sensation, a new idea, a new image.

Our problem is to understand desire, not to torture ourselves by trying to end it, but to understand the whole process of desire, the carvings, the longings.
